About Me

How It All Started 🫔

So.

A bit of narcissism today to start the day off,

Starting with where I’m sat writing this…

I’m sat in my favourite cafe in bali.

Happy as Larry.

I earn just about enough to live off.

I can train as much as I want, experience the country I’m living in as much as I like, AND lose at Fortnite a couple of times each night.

The food here is very very good and very very cheap.

While there are some drawbacks like the gyms being a bit shit vs the UK ones, and that I can’t see my clients in person…

These are easily managed.

In Australia, the fitness capital of the world, the gyms will be a little better.

And instead of seeing my clients in person once in a blue moon, I can call them as frequently as needed or give them much longer check-ins.

There’s a life summary for ya.

To get here though it’s been longgggg.

I’ll lay it out for you.

2015 - first gym membership, £15 a month brighouse leisure centre, bargain.

I remember just before this I lost shitloads of weight using a method that now makes me shiver…

5 stone in 4 months gone, mental.

Ate as little as I could, ran as much as I could.

Why? Dunno šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

But I did run a sub 19-min 5k which was the first and last time I’ll ever do that 🤣

I had a guy tell me I actually somehow looked worse after losing it’ so project wham was a go.

Gym then took over my life a little.

After 2 years of lifting and 5-a-side my goal of becoming an academy football coach went down the shitter.

ACL and MCL completely obliterated in a game.

What next?

The gym was going well so the idea of becoming a PT became more and more attractive.

Fuck it…

I started my PT qualifications in 2018 ā˜‘ļø

Before I knew it I was coaching 1 to 1. Bosh.

Did this only up until 2021 because Covid fucked things up a little.

Forcing clients to engage in HIIT workouts while wearing a mask and keeping their distance from me was hard to watch at times.

I started writing free programmes and workouts for my old 1-to-1 clients to stop them from going crazy. This is when I got tempted by online coaching.

Figured I could provide a more thorough service that way.

I also knew that, because I’m someone who…

  • Was super overweight.

  • Is overcoming a severe knee injury.

  • Is very injury-prone generally!

  • Dealt with work hindrances during Covid.

  • Has been in and out of hospital due to sciatic lower back pain.

  • Lives life like a normal person! I’m not a robot. I have friends, family, a girlfriend, and a lifestyle that isn’t commonly associated with that of a ā€˜PT’ (hence why I don’t call myself one).

…So I could relate to a whole lot of problems the clients were facing šŸ‘ŠšŸ»

Got the ball rolling and here I am!

That’s it…

Always chase after what you want. Unless it’s your ex. Trust me it won’t be better this time.

The plan will change a little, that’s cool, and sometimes that’s out of your control! Do it regardless.

Make decisions as you move! Do what is best for you.
